Cerys Sayer, briefed by Jay Majoria of Archer Maher, defending a man charged with serious offences of violence, appeared in Leicester Crown Court via the Internet in order to resolve the case in a timely fashion.

Richard Barton, Joint Head of Chambers, says, ‘Cerys, a very experienced advocate, has really made an excellent start since she joined us here at Westgate. She took on this case at a time when she would have been expected to travel to fulfill her brief and was eager to do so.  As it is, instead, the case had to be resolved via Skype hearings, and she adapted to that immediately, both being able to take important final instructions from the client, and then in due course deliver her mitigation through the link.

We are all keen to ensure that we provide a first-class service to lay and professional clients in every case wherever and whenever we are required.  Our Clerks are able to assist anyone who has queries or concerns about how hearings in Crime, Family and Civil are currently being conducted’.
