Chambers offer 2 pupillages each year for 12 months with a grant of £10,000 each per year.
Structure
The pupillage is divided in to 3 periods of 4 months supervision. The work undertaken will be mainly in criminal and family law. We actively encourage periods of work experience during your 1st 6 months with outside agencies such as the Crown Prosecution Service and local authorities.
2nd 6 months of Pupillage
Chambers are a very busy common law set. During your 2 nd 6 months it is likely that you will be predominantly in the Magistrates Court , however other areas of work undertaken include civil actions in the County Court and Family matters.
How to apply
Applications should be made to the Pupillage co-ordinator by 31st May each year and should be by way of a handwritten letter accompanied with your c.v. Every applicant will receive a written response confirming whether or not they have been successful by the end of June. The successful applicants will have interviews in July. Our postal details are available here.

We encourage applications from individuals who have undertaken mini-pupillages in Chambers. To apply for a mini-pupillage please enclose your c.v. with a handwritten letter enclosing any unavailable dates you may have to Jonathan Atkinson.
