- R-v-Winter & Winter [2010] EWCA Crim 1474 – junior counsel for the defence representing one of two defendants charged with gross negligence manslaughter arising from the death of two fire officers following an explosion at a fireworks factory.
- R-v-Jones [2007] EWCA Crim 1118 – junior counsel for the defence in a case involving a nationwide paedophile conspiracy and police entrapment.
- R-v-Brown – junior counsel for the defence representing a Church of England vicar in the country’s largest sham marriages prosecution.

Charmaine is regularly instructed in the Crown Court on behalf of both prosecution and defence in cases of serious violence, fraud, sexual offences, firearms, drugs and animal cruelty. She has also appeared at the Court of Appeal on several occasions.
Charmaine also primarily practises in public and private law involving children and domestic violence. She is regularly instructed by the local authority and parents in public law proceedings and has experience of private law disputes relating to residence, contact and specific issues.
